This personal project was created to celebrate the Toronto Raptors winning the 2019 NBA Championship, exploring different visual directions for how the moment could be captured and shared across social media.
The Brief
The brief was to design a series of social media tiles that commemorated the championship win, with the objective of creating engaging, shareable content that resonated with fans and reflected the significance of the moment.
My Role
I worked as the sole designer on the project, responsible for developing the concepts and executing the final artwork across multiple visual styles.
The Approach
The approach focused on exploring three distinct creative directions, including an illustrated concept, a photographic execution, and a collage-style composition, allowing for variation in tone while maintaining a consistent celebratory theme.
Selected Outcomes
The project resulted in a set of social media tiles designed for digital use, with each concept offering a different interpretation of the championship moment.
Outcomes
The artwork was widely shared within fan communities, with supporters using the designs as cover images and phone wallpapers, demonstrating strong engagement and relevance within the audience.
Reflection
This project reinforced the value of exploring multiple creative directions within a single brief, highlighting how variation in style can increase reach and appeal across different audience preferences.
