Project Overview

Lighthouse Sports Management is a global full-service basketball agency representing some of Australia’s top talent, including Dyson Daniels, Josh Giddey, Chris Goulding, and Luke Travers. This project involved the development of visual assets for athlete pitch decks, specifically supporting presentations for Josh Giddey and Mojave King, with the goal of enhancing how players were positioned to brands and commercial partners.

The Brief

The brief was to create dynamic visuals that could elevate pitch deck presentations, moving beyond text-heavy layouts to something more engaging and visually driven. A key requirement was the creation of jersey swap imagery, as official photos of the athletes in prospective team or brand contexts did not yet exist, alongside structuring layouts that prioritised clarity and impact over long-form written content.

My Role

I contributed to the project by developing the jersey swap visuals and typesetting the pitch deck layouts, working within a collaborative environment while having a high level of creative freedom to execute the work in line with the overall presentation goals.

The Approach

The approach focused on creating strong, aspirational visuals that could support commercial storytelling, using jersey swaps to place athletes into future-facing scenarios that felt realistic and compelling. The layout direction prioritised concise, scannable information, allowing key points to be communicated through structured typography and visual hierarchy rather than dense copy, resulting in a cleaner and more persuasive presentation format.

Selected Outcomes

The project delivered a series of pitch deck layouts and supporting visuals, including high-quality jersey swap imagery and structured presentation designs that could be used in discussions with brands and partners.

Outcomes

The work contributed to the overall presentation of the athletes in a commercial context, supporting their positioning in the market, with Josh Giddey going on to secure a shoe deal during his time in the NBL prior to being drafted into the NBA.

Reflection

This project reinforced the importance of presentation in the business side of sport, highlighting how strong visual execution and clear structure can play a role in shaping perception, strengthening athlete positioning, and supporting commercial opportunities.
