Croker 250

Canberra Raiders (Concept)

Project Overview

This was a personal project created to celebrate Jarrod Croker’s 250th NRL game, recognising him as one of the most accomplished players in the modern era and in the history of the Canberra Raiders through a visual tribute.

The Brief

The brief was self-initiated, with the goal of creating a piece that marked the milestone while also highlighting key moments and achievements throughout Croker’s career in a way that resonated with fans.

My Role

I worked as the sole designer on the project, responsible for the concept, composition, and execution of the final artwork.

The Approach

The approach focused on storytelling through a single hero image, using a photograph I had taken of Croker from behind and replacing his number with “250” to anchor the milestone, supported by a timeline of career achievements to provide context and depth.

Selected Outcomes

The project resulted in a series of social media tiles designed to present the milestone and accompanying career highlights in a cohesive format.

Outcomes

The piece was well received by the fanbase, generating positive engagement and recognition of the milestone.

Reflection

This project reinforced the impact of combining personal photography with thoughtful design, showing how simple visual storytelling can effectively celebrate significant sporting achievements.
